Spelunking, Exploding Lights, and MTSU
First and foremost, Welcome to www.lauraconnahan.com! Thanks for stopping by and make sure you make an account! Keep checking back for updates!!
The past couple weeks have been really busy for me. This summer I have been giving trail rides at Camp Woodward. I basically get to take kids horseback riding all day and I've met some truly incredible people! The other day a group of us that work there went spelunking (a.k.a. caving!!). We went hiking to the cave and crawled into it and it opened up into this big room. It was incredible (other then the hugeeeeee spiders that were everywhere). Regardless, it was still a great adventure!
Other then working at Camp Woodward, I have been performing a lot this summer. I've had some really fun shows and memorable moments on stage. However, I think last night's show at Tussey Mountain's wing festival was the most memorable. The weather was anything but gorgeous but there was still a really great turn out! The weather even cleared up a little..until about half-way through my set. It got really windy and started raining...hard. The crowd was sooo good though; they all braved it out! Then, mid-song, a stage light right by me exploded! I'm sure my reaction was pretty hysterical to watch :p Even with all the...well...distractions, it was still the most fun I've had performing all summer! (Thanks again to Tussey Mountain for having me!)
But now that my summer shows are done, I can finally focus on my move to Tennessee and MTSU in 13 days! I'm so excited to start this new chapter in my life! I still have SO much to do before I leave though! I'll keep you posted!
